One of the biggest headaches I have with everyone working remotely is getting what I mean across. It isn’t management - I wrote this nice little Project Management software that keeps everyone on their toes and in sync. Set proper goals, work with small tasks, and so forth - it gets things done. I will post about that more some other day.

No - the real problem is English can only go so far - after all, NLP taught me that the actual words spoken only convey 8% of your meaning. The problem becomes even worse when you talk about design. It is a complete pain in the ass.

So recently I had been looking to buy a tablet PC to:

1. Get some breathing space from the office. I like my office. But I would like to go sit outside or on a couch and still be able to do some work.
2. Communicate in a more visual manner. Drawing with the mouse = no fun. I’ve tried using tablet pens (gone through two in fact) - it just never worked for me. This way I can open up a picture, circle what I don’t like, and explicitly state what I don’t like about it. Fantastic!

So while I was perusing what I wanted to do, I came across Graywolf’s post on how Tablet PCs rock. He was doing exactly what I wanted to do, and it pushed me over the edge.

And so I just went out and bought me a nice Touch Screen Tablet. Centrino LV of course - I don’t want my lap to burn up. Once I have I will be sure to report back.
