Okay - it isn't original functionality. And stuff like making the search input box as the 'active' input (ie Google, Live, Y! Search, etc) that is fine. But when I specifically *click* in the content area and start typing, and it still pushes focus on the input box - that is simply aggravating and annoying.

And yeah hrmm ... the new design is starting to grate me more and more.

I'd disagree that the original functionality of the browser was to find text as you start typing. That said, I've had auto-focus search boxes catch even my slash as I use the handy Firefox search feature. Pretty annoying.

I'll agree that the new Yahoo! Sports look isn't as useful. Maybe it's just change, but like you, I went to Y!S because sites like foxsports.com looked too much like... well, Yahoo!'s new design.

Interesting - but it still breaks the original functionality of the browser ('Search for text when I start typing')

Thanks though - will have to remember this one.
