Ahmed, welcome to the internet. There will be plenty of sites that give advice to complain about :)

All I'm saying is that you're bound to find sites that claim to be experts on certain subjects, and some people will believe them. Money is the same, but 100x worse since everyone wants to know how to make more!

I think your post is completely fruitless. The way I see it, people are extremely ecstatic when they receive their first check from Google for their AdSense ads - even if the check is for $100 and they make $100,000 a year at their day-to-day job. It's really the sense of being a part of the internet gold rush of making money fast that make people rejoice in jubilation.

i did read somewhere that most of the content writers for these money making sites are really just faking it to make it.

oh well. what these readers don't know wouldn't hurt them. at least these sites have helped out these people at one point. i just hope that not all of them will take every advice, hook, line and sinker.

I never said they need my approval. But - would you get car advice from someone who just knows how to check the oil? Would you get guitar lessons from someone who just rocks out on Guitar Hero?

Of course not. You would want advice from people who actually know how to do the above. So the $100 a month isn't a set figure - it's a reality that these bloggers don't have the experience.

I don't know how you get I'm picking on you. Your list provided a simple way of pointing to 100 blogs classified as making money ... that is about it. Your blogs are whatever they are :)

If every time I say something critical you get hurt and personally insulted - well that is a different ballpark.

My citing BlogFlux.com was that I see a lot of people doing it. We always approve their blogs (who am I to specifically dictate what they do). I'm simply pointing out that the content is almost always the same stuff. Which you don't deny.

And Jason - no doubt it was to help new people. My point was that there is a very limited subset of content one can write about 'making money' - in the end most of it is just the same repeated word.

As for linkbait etc - nah. I know a few of the bloggers on the list - if I was trying to bait, I would have emailed/talked to them about it. This is a post I wrote a few months ago and I just dusted off.

Lest everyone forget - the actual name of the site is 'Tech Soapbox' I simply find most of the 'make money online' blogs the same content written in a different way.

Ahmed,

The post I wrote today was basically a post to get people, thinking about starting a blog to go ahead and do it. Not get wrapped up in thinking about how they are going to get traffic, listed in the search engines, make money from blogging or any other question they have on their mind. It was obviously not for someone already blogging.

But I get it. Its great link bait to write a controversial article, include links to 5 sites that get way more traffic than you in hopes that one will link to you? You may not get that but at least you got a couple of us to stop by and comment. Good job. :-)

"if you only make $100 a month you shouldn’t be teaching others how to make money"

I completely got your point and you just reiterated it. So I'll reiterate my initial response "Should they sit quiet until they have your approval to blog?".

What is the exact dollar amount people need to make to make to get your approval to blog?

Seriously, who are you to judge what people can and can't blog about? And why are you wasting your time judging these people?

You ARE picking on me which was completely unsolicited (I'd never been to this site or heard of you until you popped up in my vanity feed).

The "case in point" link goes to my domain, my blog is on the list, and many people I call friends are on the list. Of course I take it personally.

I think you've got it all wrong if you'd take some time to interact with these people you might see it also . You should be helping these people succeed instead of insulting them.

If you have a problem with the blogflux make money people why not take it up with them and leave us alone eh?

I think you missed my point.

1. No you don't have to be an expert. But if you only make $100 a month you shouldn't be teaching others how to make money - you have *zero* knowledge on how to.

2. A general comment, regardless of your list - most of the 'make money' blogs all regurgitate the same ideas.

3. There is a difference between 'my story' (such as Yaro's blog) and others that claim to *know how* to make money (but obviously don't). Yaro's blogs are very intriguing and refreshing. Others that claim to have the solution but really don't - those are the ones I'm pointing out to.

Again - I wasn't picking on you. This is a general critique of most 'make money online' blogs (which we see a ton of over at BlogFlux.com).

"how much advice someone who doesn’t make much money online can give to others?"

Unless you're an expert you can't have an opinion? That is nonsense. Should they sit quiet until they have your approval to blog?

The top 100 is a community of people that blog about making money online. They share their adventures, successes, and failures and sometimes do offer some advice whether it comes from ten years experience or if they just learned it.

Most of the people on the list don't "claim" to be "money making experts" either. Just some average folks trying to learn about marketing online and sharing their adventures.

I think you are misinformed about the community and should hang out a little longer and interact with some of the bloggers. As with any community there are a few bad apples but overall their are some great people on the list.
